Bethel School District #52
The third-largest school district in Lane County, Bethel is located in northwest Eugene and is home to approximately 5,500 students. The district encompasses 31.7 square miles and features bike trails, wetlands, public parks, streams and a portion of Fern Ridge Reservoir.
Autism Society of Oregon – Lane County
Oregon’s leading organization providing resources, education, advocacy, and support for individuals and families living with Autism. A great directory listing website of resources.
Direction service
This Springfield-based organization offers a range of support for families with and without disabilities. Parents can be assigned a service coordinator who, among other things, can attend IEP meetings to support and advocate.
FACT Oregon
This is Oregon’s federally-designated parent training and information center on issues related to special education. They provide 150+ trainings (including webinars) each year free to families experiencing disability throughout the state. Topics include assistive technology, behavior, visioning your child’s future, and much more!
Oregon Family Support Network (OFSN)
The local chapter of this organization in Eugene promotes mental, behavioral and emotional wellness for families and youth through training, family to family support, and advocacy.
Families Connected
Our local member of the Oregon Consortium of Family Networks, this organization, based at the Arc of Lane County, helps reduce isolation and build community connections for families experiencing developmental and/or intellectual disabilities living in Lane County.

Familias en Conexión
Familias en Conexión is the Lane County family network for Spanish-speaking parents who are raising a child with a disability. The group meets the 3rd Saturday of every month at The Arc Lane County in 4181 E Street in Springfield. There is also a private group on Facebook for this group.
The A Team Justice League
This private Facebook group is a place for local parents to share resources, vent, get support, and problem-solve issues related to their children and disability and/or special education.
Northwest Down Syndrome Assoc.
Northwest Down Syndrome Association is a Portland-based family support network that offers a great Transition to Kindergarten training and lots of other resources.
All Born (In) Community
ABI Community is a collaboration of programs, training, workshops, resources, and supports that has grown around the All Born (in) movement and the annual Cross-Disability Best-Practices Educational Inclusion Conference. ABI is a program of NW Disability Support. This resource is inclusive of all developmental disabilities.
University of Oregon Center on Human Development College of Education
The Center on Human Development (CHD) at the University of Oregon (UO) is dedicated to research, training, and outreach to support individuals with disabilities, their families, and communities. Our efforts cross the lifespan and include projects focusing on early intervention, k-12 schooling, adult transition, and aging.
Bridgeway House
Bridgeway House serves the needs of children with autism and related abilities while educating and supporting their families. Bridgeway House provides therapy, social skills groups, academic support, education, summer camps, family social events, parent education and support, a private school for children with autism, and more.
